Other Scenic Drives

There are many other scenic drives to take in Fentress County. Driving through the Big South Fork & Pickett State Park area, you'll see some of the most diverse and beautiful country in the entire state.

To travel to the parks, simply head North on Hwy 127 and make a right onto Hwy 154. Continue on Hwy 154 until it splits. 154 will veer to the left, leading you to Pickett State Park. 297 is the road that veers to the right, leading you through Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. Its about a 20 minute drive to Pickett and Big South Fork from Jamestown.

To travel to Historic Rugby, simply take Hwy 52 east from 127, and turn left at the 4 way stop in Allardt. You'll come to the Brewster Bridge, and turn left at the fork in the road. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Rugby from Jamestown.

Many of our Chamber businesses, including various horse campgrounds, are along these routes.
