American Mustangs Arrive at Cedar Creek Cattle Company

Thirty-two American Mustang yearlings arrived at Cedar Creek Cattle Company in Clarkrange
on Thursday, July 16, 2009 to be gentled and trained by youth ages eight to eighteen
for three months. At the end of the three months, the Youth and Yearlings Mustang Challenge
will be held at East Fork Stables on October 10, 2009.

Mike Archambault, owner of Cedar Creek Cattle Company,
the home of New Beginnings Youth Ranch, and his staff will be
assisting the youth in training their mustangs in preparation for the Challenge.
A random drawing was held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 and each mustang
was assigned to a youth.

Assisting Mike in the drawing were Mike Branch, a wild mustang trainer who assists
the Bureau of Land Management’s mustang adoption program,
and Joe Mann, Program Director for New Beginnings Youth Ranch.
Mike Branch then conducted a clinic on working with a wild mustang.
