Leadership Fentress is a community leadership development program. In this program, individuals who are or show the potential for community trusteeship learn more about the county, enhance leadership skills and build a network of fellow leaders through the Leadership Fentress classmates. The goal of Leadership Fentress is to prepare our county for the future with knowledgeable, effective and active leaders.

Each year, ten to twelve individuals who live and/or work in Fentress County are selected to participate in the program. Selection into Leadership Fentress is competitive and is based upon an application process. Tuition is $100.00 and 25 % is expected to be paid by the participant.

Attendance is required at the opening retreat, at no less than 80% of the sessions, and at graduation in order to successfully complete the program.
